Belize is the only English first country in Central and South America. With strong ties to both the Latin American and Caribbean regions, Belize is a member of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), the Central American Integration System (SICA) and the only country to hold full membership in all three regional organizations.
Belmopan is the capital of Belize and is the largest corporate center in the country. It is located 250 feet above sea level and 50 miles inland providing protection from storms. Belmopan is the Government and Educational center of the country with three Universities offering flexible schedules which allow students to work full and part-time in the community.
